FLU CAMPAIGN - BRANSTON SURGERY
This years Flu campaign will be challenging due to the restrictions placed on the surgery by the Coronavirus Pandemic
The Practice has decided to hold all our clinics at the Surgery and they all will be appointment only bookable in advance. Please contact the surgery in the afternoon to book your appointment so as to avoid the morning rush on the telephone. Please see below if you qualify for a Flu vaccination.
The Priority Groups for the Flu vaccination will be Patients aged over 65 and those between the ages of 18 to 64 who are clinically at risk, i.e have Asthma, Diabetes, COPD, are a carer or work in a Healthcare or Social environment, have a current BMI of over 40 or have heart problems or are currently pregnant. Please see the link to the NHS website for further details of who can qualify for a free flu vaccination.
Please be mindful of the following when turning up for your vaccination
Please attend at your appointment time and not arrive early
Please wear clothing that will allow access to your upper arm.
There will be a one way system in place at the clinics to ensure the safety of Patients and Staff.
The Department of Health intends to extend the vaccination programme to those aged 50 to 64 who are not clinically at risk but not until November or Decmeber depending on the availability of vaccine.
If you are entering the surgery we are now asking that patients wear a face covering please.
Face coverings will be compulsory in a lot of areas now - however there are exemptions to this - children under 11, lip readers for deaf people, patients with a learning disability or have severe breathing problems.
Please look at the document below to print off a card to show why you are not wearing a face covering on public transport.
Welcome to Branston & Heighington Family Practice
Welcome to Branston & Heighington Family Practice. We are a friendly family practice serving the healthcare needs of our 6000 patients from the surrounding villages.
We are owned by Dr Mahalingam who is the sole contract holder for the Health Contract we have with NHS England.
We are also members of NHS Lincolnshire CCG, Lincoln South Federation and the Lincoln South Primary Care Networks.
The Practice has been established in the village for over 30 years in our purpose built surgery. The surgery unfortunately does not have its own car park but the Co-op next door allow patients to park there.
We have disabled access to the surgery and a disabled patient toilet.
We hope that this website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. If there is anything wrong with the website or you have suggestions for improvements then please contact the Practice on - firstname.lastname@example.org
Our team of Clinicians and Administration have a philosophy of ensuring that our Patients receive the best healthcare we can provide with the resources available to us.
We are continually expanding our practice and strive to provide excellent healthcare, whilst meeting the needs of each individual patient.
We are committed to innovating and developing our service to meet these specific goals.
